How to Unsubscribe from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List

(Or suspend the mail temporarily, or change to digest mode)

Note: In the following instructions, please substitute the commercial at sign @ for the phrase (at) -- the email addresses are written this way to discourage spambot harvesting.

To leave the AE or EV discussion lists you must send the message

signoff ae

or

signoff ev

to the address

listproc (at) listproc.sjsu.edu

Do not send this message to the posting address. Use only the address above. Do not send any other text than "signoff ae" or "signoff ev." You should leave the subject field blank. If your email program doesn't allow you to leave the subject field blank, repeat the instruction (signoff ae or signoff ev) there.

This method should have been described in a message sent to you when you first subscribed to the AE or EV list. Perhaps you did not receive it, or have lost it. Next time you join a mailing list, please be sure to file the welcome message in a safe place.

If you are going away and want to temporarily stop receiving messages without terminating your list subscription, send the message

set ev mail postpone

or

set ae mail postpone

to the address

listproc (at) listproc.sjsu.edu

When you return, send the message

set ev mail

or

set ae mail

to the same address. If you are receiving too many mail messages each day, you may want to set digest mode instead of signing off the list. In digest mode, the list server accumulates messages and sends them to you in groups, so you have fewer, longer items in your mailbox each day. To accomplish this, send the message

set ae mail digest

or

set ev mail digest

To reverse this and change from digest mode to individual message mode, send

set ae mail

or

set ev mail

Again, mail these commands to

listproc (at) listproc.sjsu.edu

and not to the posting address.

If you are unable to remove yourself, it may be that your email address has changed subtly since you subscribed. For help with this problem, please contact the listserv manager privately:
