One of 99 Rooms.

Songyojong, or the House of 100 Rooms, is a typical residence in which an aristocrat would have lived during the Choson Dynasty. The house was built over a period of 200 years, starting in 1756.

It actually has 99 rooms, the maximum allowable for a nonroyal residence. Many of the 99 are small rooms for servants, as the photo above shows.

The front walls of the servants' quarters have been removed so that they're publicly viewable. They've been furnished with artifacts from the period in which the Songyojong was in full use.

Although part of Songyojong is established as a museum, other parts are still in use as a residence.
