In most Korean cities, with a bit of searching, the American visitor or teacher can eat as if
he or she had never left home. This Colonel was tempting Seoul residents to sample his
high-fat, high-calorie, high-sodium wares. Kangnung, the medium-sized east-coast city where Margaret teaches, has a few US-franchise grab-and-go restaurants, including a Baskin-Robbins ice cream parlor. Many Korean-owned restaurants serve western-style pizza and fried chicken. Kangnung even has a "PFC" (their logo is very similar to KFC's), which serves fried chicken with little disposable plastic tubs of kimchi.
