Korean marketers often use English as US ad copy writers use French, Italian or even
Japanese -- to make the product seem exotic or cosmopolitan. Unfortunately (or
fortunately, depending on your point of view) English and Korean are very different
languages (they come from very disparate origins), and the writers often don't consult
native English speakers before publishing or producing their wares. The results are
sometimes unintentionally amusing "Konglish."
